Russian strikes kill 27 in eastern Ukraine before proposed ceasefire deadline

At least 27 people, including 12 in a single attack, were killed by Russian shelling across eastern Ukraine on Tuesday, shortly before a midnight deadline for an open‑ended ceasefire proposed by Kyiv.
