Corrections Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Our commitment

OnPage News is committed to accuracy. When we publish something that is factually wrong, we correct it promptly, transparently, and without burying the correction.

How corrections work

When a factual error is confirmed, we update the article text and add a clearly labelled correction note at the top of the article stating: what was wrong, what the correct information is, and when the correction was made. We do not silently edit articles to remove errors without noting the change.

Scope of corrections

We issue corrections for: incorrect names, figures, dates, or locations; misattributed quotes; and factual claims that have since been demonstrated to be false. We distinguish corrections (factual errors) from updates (new developments in an ongoing story) and label each accordingly.

Submitting a correction request

To request a correction, contact us via the Contact page. Please include: the URL of the article, the specific error, and a source or evidence for the correct information. We will acknowledge all correction requests and respond within 5 business days.

Scope limitations

Where an error originates in a source we cited, we note this in our correction and update our coverage accordingly. We cannot correct errors in external publications, but we can remove or contextualise a misleading claim we repeated from one.
