Philippine vice‑president Sara Duterte impeached for second time over fund misuse and threats
The Philippine Senate voted to impeach Vice‑President Sara Duterte for alleged misuse of public funds, accumulation of unexplained wealth, and threats against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his wife. The impeachment could jeopardise her bid for the presidency. Duterte, daughter of former president Rodrigo Duterte, denies the accusations.
