Hong Kong readies 50,000 sandbags and flood barriers for upcoming typhoon season
Hong Kong’s Civil Engineering and Development Department has positioned 50,000 sandbags and installed water‑filled flood barriers to prepare for the approaching typhoon season. The agency also issued new shoreline‑management guidelines for coastal communities and expects completion of promontory improvements at Tseung Kwan O by the end of the year.
