Bolivia’s former president Evo Morales held in contempt for skipping trafficking trial
A Bolivian judge found former President Evo Morales in contempt after he failed to appear at a court hearing in a case accusing him of trafficking a minor. Morales, who led the country from 2006 to 2019, faces additional legal scrutiny following his resignation after a contested election.
